DC/DC Converter Designed for the harsh automotive environment, this liquid-cooled DC/DC converter operates at input voltages from 216 to 422VDC @ 1.2kW nominal. It is highly efficient and applicable to multiple platforms without re-engineering. Analog output is adjustable through CANbus serial interface. Over voltage, over current and over temperature protection with fault reporting.
Range extender (Genset) FVT believes the future of the electric vehicle is the series hybrid (EV with an on-board generator (Genset)). Battery costs and the limited range of electric vehicles will limit the number of consumers who purchase pure EV’s. With the addition of a small genset the market for electric vehicles could completely consume the ICE market within a short timeframe. FVT has developed a 20kw running genset prototype and at the heart of the system is a proprietary inverter and source code that make the small gas engine and generator work together.
Central Vehicle Controller FVT has developed technology that is both scalable and expandable. FVT’s Central Vehicle Controller oversees the vehicle systems and integrates all components, enabling modules such as; power windows, dash displays, backup cameras, and more to function seamlessly with the rest of the vehicle.
Regenerative (Re-Gen) Suspension Technology In partnership with Simon Fraser University and its Engineering department, FVT is developing this seminal technology.. Regenerative suspension allows the user to harvest energy from the suspension system and return it to the batteries, resulting in energy conservation.
