How it all began

George Parker has been inventing things his entire life. 30years ago while having lunch, he scribbled the outline  of a car he dreamt up on a napkin . The car was aerodynamic, fast, and could get more than 100mpg. It sat two people because most of the cars he saw on the road only had one person in them anyway. It looked like a fighter jet for aerodynamics, stability, and because it would be fun to build a car that looked like a fighter jet. He pondered the design, tucked away the napkin drawing and finished his lunch.

In 2005 George re-discovered that napkin drawing. A lot had changed since that sketch.  Gas prices were rising and the world was learning how much environmental damage cars were causing, but for some reason cars were not getting any more fuel efficient. His 1989 Firefly achieved over 60mpg. With all the new technologies available why were new cars were only getting 20+ mpg? He decided it was time to take a closer look at building the car. How hard could it be?

One of George's buddies Andy Trottier was the first to invest in George's idea. George got busy creating and Andy started looking for other investors. Within six months a core of "six guys in a garage" had formed. Everyone rolled up their sleeves to take on the challange raising more capital and building the world's most efficient, environmentally sensitive, highway capable vehicle. How hard could that be?

The next 5 years were quite a journey for the eVaro. Shows in Las Vegas and New York, thousands of miles of road testing, 3 competed prototypes, and dozens of new technologies under the hood. The result is a publicly aclaimed vehicle that achieves what many thought was impossible. George's dream has become  more than he ever imagined, and the timing couldn't be better.

Was it a remarkable journey? Watch the Discovery Channel documentary on George and the FVT boys and judge for yourself. This is a company that believes "impossible" just means you're not trying hard enough.
